Let's keep our art and messages in motion, shall we? This time, we want to hear from you, our community. Community is everything and we wouldn't be able to spread the love without your support. That's why we want to hear from you. We want to use our platform to elevate your voices and your writing to inspire and spark meaningful conversations.

COLLECTIVE MUSINGS is a collective and bilingual zine project created by La Pimbêche. We are looking for French and English submissions of poetry and prose of 500 words or less to include in our first issue, which will be illustrated by La Pimbêche. In this issue, we want to examine the concept of identity and empowerment.

Through the written word, we invite you to explore the meaning of (true) self. What does that mean to you? Have you ever felt pressure to conceal parts of yourself from the world, or are you unapologetically yourself, even if that self doesn't fit within society's standards? What boundaries have you pushed against to live a life that honours who you are? Does social media influence your sense of self? Do you think the self is unique and predetermined, or is it multiple, reconstructed through time? Tell us about a time you felt empowered.

What is a zine? A zine is a self-published booklet of writing, illustrations and more produced in small quantities. It's an awesome way to express ourselves and share our art with the world!

We encourage all writers to submit an original piece (meaning: no pieces that have been published somewhere else), regardless of their experience or publishing history. If you are interested in submitting your piece to COLLECTIVE MUSINGS, please complete our submission form bellow.
